Dear SOSM members As every year we will have our annual general meeting in the 1st half of the year. Our plan is to convene on Saturday, April the 2nd, most likely in Sankt Gallen. A formal announcement and invitation will follow in a couple of days, we however still need to find a suitable venue, if any of you have a suggestions could you please send it to me asap (typically we have been around 20 attendees, if you intend to come, an informal notice to me would be a good idea). Other points for the meeting that we can already pre-announce: - Pascal will be stepping down as treasurer and we will need a replacement, stepping in Pascals footsteps will be really easy given the good work he has done, and the quite positive state of our financials. If you have a minimal working knowledge of accounting please consider volunteering for the position. - As discussed at the last AGM the SOSM board submitted an application for OSMF local chapter status which in the mean time has been accepted by the OSMF board. As promised we will be holding a vote at the AGM on the matter before actually signing the agreement. I've been assured that the agreement will simply be a completed version of http://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Local_Chapters/Template_agreement so you can already refer to that for details.
