SOSM Annual General Meeting Friday May 5th 20:00 2023 / SOSM Vereinsversammlung Freitag, den 5. Mai 20:00 2023

Dear SOSM Members As already indicated the 2023 AGM will take place on Friday, May the 5th online at 20:00. Please see the enclosed agenda for details. Further material will follow per e-mail. As always we would be interested in recruiting board members outside of the German speaking part of Switzerland. Board meetings are typically once per month online, there is no requirement to be engaged further, but it would be welcome. Simon Poole - Liebe SOSM Mitglieder Wie schon angekündigt findet die SOSM Vereinsversammlung am Freitag, den 5. Mai um 20:00 online statt. Details dazu findet ihr in der beigelegten Agenda. Weitere Unterlagen folgen per e-mail. Wie immer sind wir daran interessiert Mitglieder auch aus anderen Sprachregionen im Vorstand zu haben. Vorstandsitzungen finden typischerweise einmal pro Monat online statt, ein weiteres Engagement ist willkommen aber nicht eine Bedingung. Simon Poole

Save the date: 2023 SOSM AGM - Friday May 5th 2023 20:00

Dear SOSM members As in previous years we our annual meeting will take place online on Friday the 5th of May at 20:00. The formal invitation and details will follow in April. Given that the situation now allows for social gatherings again, we intend to organize a separate get-together/mapping party as a replacement for the "informal" part of the AGM. If somebody is interested in hosting this, or has a suggestion for a location, please feel free to contact us. Happy mapping! Simon

Dear SOSM members As mentioned in the invitation the meeting will take place on "BigBlueButton" link: https://pub.digitale-gesellschaft.ch/b/pat-6h2-rqy To give everybody ample time to get everything working it will be possible to join from 10:30 on. PLEASE don't forget that only fully paid up members can vote at the meeting, in previous years it was possible to pay directly before the meeting, for obvious reason we cannot provide that service this year. Simon --- Dear SOSM members It will come as no surprise to your that this years general meeting will be held online instead of face to face. While our articles do not explicitly mention this, we believe that doing this is completely in the spirit of the document. We will be using "BigBlueButton" as a video conference solution that allows integrated polling so there will be no separate voting mechanism. If you do not have a setup with a web/video cam, you can still participate in the meeting with voice only. If this is the case for you, please contact us as early as possible so that we can arrange that your presence can be validated non-visually. We currently only have one volunteer auditor and are looking for somebody to fill the vacant spot at the upcoming meeting. As the association does not have a lot of financial transactions, this is an important but not too time consuming position, and while some accounting knowledge is helpful it is not strictly required. You can volunteer during the meeting itself, but it would make things easier if you could indicate your willingness to stand for the position to the board before the meeting. The same applies if you would like to stand for a board position. Unsere Statuten sagen zum Thema nichts, aber wir sind überzeugt, dass dies im Geiste des Dokumentes ist. Wir werden als Videokonferenzlösung "BigBlueButton" verwenden, dass eine integrierte Abstimmungslösung beinhaltet und werden keine separate Abstimmungslösung verwenden. Falls ihr keine Web- oder Videokameraeinrichtung habt, so kann auch nur per Sprache teilgenommen werden. In diesem Fall bitten wir euch euch möglichst frühzeitig bei uns zu melden so dass wir es einrichten können eure Teilnahme zu validieren. Aktuell ist nur einer der zwei Revisorenstellen besetzt und wir würden dies gerne an der Versammlung wieder besetzen.
